Vintage Claire McCardell Dress

Claire McCardell's clothing can be found in many fashion museums around the country and she practically invented the genre of women's sportswear. This is a vintage Claire McCardell blue and green cotton plaid day dress with fitted waist and gathered full skirt. Dolman sleeves and pretty collar with tie.

The only issue I can find is that the original belt is missing, and there is a small repair where the ribbon at the neck attaches, otherwise very good condition! Side metal zipper and button front. Two labels, "Claire McCardell clothes by Townley" and "Little Traveler Geneva".  Show with crinoline under skirt (not included).
